| Cookie Bonus Solitaire Update Released! | July 25, 2008 |
Apple's App Store has just released our 1.0.1 version of Cookie Bonus Solitaire. Updating your application is free and this update should solve many of the crash issues that have been reported.
The following issues are fixed with the 1.0.1 update:
- A bug with the dragging of cards.
- Crash involving the loading of icons and badges in the chat.
- A few other minor issues.
If you have purchased our native version, please update as soon as possible by visiting the App Store on your Mac/PC or by accessing it on your iPhone or iPod Touch, pressing the Updates tab, and pressing on Cookie Bonus Solitaire. We will be sending down badges and icons again later in the day and this may cause problems with the 1.0.0 version.
We will also be submitting a 1.0.2 update that fixes even more issues that will hopefully be available some time next week.

| Gumball Bingo Updated | April 1, 2008 |
Bingo Changes:
1. Previously, there were frequently many games with 1 or 2 people in them. We've changed the way joining games already in process works so now there will be significantly more people in each game.
2. Chat is now shared between all of the bingo games. If someone is chatting in a different game than you, you will see a "G" followed by a number indicating which game they're in.
3. We've removed some of the more full patterns, and added several new smaller patterns.
Token and Scoring Changes:
1. We're continuing to tweak the rate that points for individual games are converted into tokens. This should stabilize over the coming weeks.
2. Instead of showing the weekly score inside the games, we are now showing your lifetime score. However, the rank is still based on your weekly score.
Profile Changes:
1. We've reworked the profile screens to make them more attractive, and to show both your lifetime and weekly ranks.
Game Changes
1. We now have the ability to display news summaries inside the games!

| Tokens Tokens Tokens! | March 26, 2008 |
In our largest site update yet, almost everything has gotten a massive overhaul. The most significant of which is a massive change to the way scores in the various games are handled.
Previously, there was only one total score for each game and it would keep growing larger the longer you played. This score was used for the rankings of all the players in the games and they got incredibly large. The net result of this was that the rankings of players were based largely on how long you had been playing the game, and very little on how well or how often you played. This presented a daunting challenge for new users, and severely hurt the long time viability of the games. After all, who would want to join a new game and try to catch up to the scores of people who had been growing their score for months, or even years!
In order to over come this, we've changed the way scores and rankings are handled. There are now two main scores for each game: an in-game score and a lifetime score. There is also a new ranking system, as well as a system wide token system.
Each week on Monday at around 3am PST the various pieces will be updated as follows:
- The in-game score for the week will be added to your lifetime total score.
- The weekly scores for every game will be converted into tokens and added together to produce a token total.
- Players will be ranked based on their in-game scores for each of the individual games.
- Players will also be ranked based on their token totals for a site-wide ranking.
- The in-game points will be reset and a new week of stats will begin collecting.
For now, tokens have limited value beyond the site-wide ranking, but we created the system so we could leverage tokens in future enhancements. The ranking system is also in its early stages and we have a lot of future plans for it.
We think this combination of scoring and ranking will make for a much more lively system, and one that we can do a lot more with than the old system.

- Fixed bug with number of players reported in games being too large

- Updated art assets
- Added new site areas (see header)

We've also replaced our existing game server with a totally new custom server written in Java. The new server should scale much more efficiently and give us better reliability and control of the back end that keeps all the games running.
As with anything new, there's always a chance that we may have broken something so if you see anything that isn't quite working right, please send an email to support@fatfreegames.com and let us know what's wrong!
